Strudels, Sweet & Savory

Ruhland’s Strudel Haus is a maker of fabulous sweet and savory strudel.  We are inspired by the belief that food is a celebration and is integrated in our relationship with the Earth and one another.  Our hope is that what we make will gather people around the table to celebrate the love and community found in family and friends. Our goal is to create food that brings joy and delight.

Each of our strudels is handmade using the freshest and finest ingredients available. Our strudels go from the freezer to the oven and in about 45 minutes you have Love on a Plate

Fresh apricots tossed in our “love dust” of flour sugar cinnamon and nutmeg and rolled in our light, flakey puff pastry.  Wonderfully delicate yet full-flavored.

Raspberries. Marion berries and Blueberries and a bit of brown sugar and cinnamon and cream cheese, eggs and brown sugar are blended together for a taste of Heaven.

Cranberry-Cherry Cheese Strudel • 15.00
Tart cranberries and pie cherries combined with a cream cheese filling creates a wonderful balance of sweet sour.   This is a lovely finish to any dinner, as a stand-alone dessert or breakfast pastry.

Not just for dessert anymore, our Savory Strudels are a perfect match for the hearty appetite. Breakfast, lunch, appetizer or dinner we have created the most delicious variety of handmade strudels sure to satisfy your whole family, or neighborhood!  Each strudel is approximately 15” long.

Brat “n” Kraut Strudel • 20.00
Bratwurst, sauerkraut, onions and spices sautéed and mixed with Muenster cheese and baked in puff pastry.  Serve with whole-grain mustard.

Chicken Asparagus Alfredo Strudel • 20.00
Take white meat of chicken, add diced onions, fresh asparagus, Parmesan and mozzarella and the perfect amount of creamy Alfredo sauce, wrap it in a flakey puff pastry and voila PERFECTION!

Chicken Marinara Mozzarella Strudel • 20.00
Chicken, mozzarella, Parmesan and a touch of onion, then married to a marinara sauce baked to perfection inside a puff pastry.

We take the freshest salmon seasonally available and add a sauté of diced mushroom and shallots teamed with chardonnay and cream and finish them with roasted red pepper and wrap in a delicate puff pastry.

Cooked lean ground free-range turkey from Ferndale Turkey Farms in Cannon Falls, MN is married with dried cranberries, Swiss cheese and a hint of turkey gravy.  Think Thanksgiving in a mouthful.
